Archangelsky Mikhail Valentinovich (04.11.1937 – 03.12.2006)
He was born in Krasnodar. In 1963 he graduated from the Krasnodar Art College. He was an auditor in the Leningrad State Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and Russia from 1975.
In 1990, he went to Greece, where he lived for six years. He also worked in Bulgaria, Cyprus. All these places are displayed on his canvases.
He was a participant of exhibitions (since 1968): foreign (Germany, Greece, Bulgaria), international, all-Union, all-Russian, republican, zonal, regional, personal.
Michael Archangelsky was not only a painter. He also was a poet and philosopher. His poetic heritage includes dozens of unreleased poems, which are a continuation of painting and graphics.
The works of Mikhail Arkhangelsky are kept in the collections of the Krasnodar Regional Art Museum, Krasnodar Regional Exhibition Hall of Fine Arts, Sochi Art Museum, Timashevsky Museum of the Stepanov family, in the Korenovsk Art Gallery, other museums in Russia, in the educational institutes and in the private collections in Russia and abroad.
